New Smyrna Beach is a mecca of culture, fun, food and annual festivals and events for it all! This charming little seaside town artfully kicks off every year with a Festival of the Arts in January and its Art Fiesta in February.

But let’s talk about some of the exciting New Smyrna Beach events still to come in 2024…

The New Smyrna Beach Jazz Fest has been a three-day celebratory extravaganza full of great jazz, food and fun since 2001. This year’s much anticipated event, “Symphony of Soul” will take place in May.

Seafood lovers also won’t want to miss the Shrimp and Seafood Festival in August, where revered local New Smyrna Beach restaurant chefs meet on Flagler Avenue to compete for “Best on the Beach” award amidst live beach music and festive seafood-inspired activities.

October is time for the New Smyrna Beach Art Affair. Tickets include dinner, art walks, plein air painting and more. This one will be the second one held in New Smyrna Beach’s historic arts district. The Plein Air Paint Out, “Art in Nature’s Embrace,” also takes place in October. During this days long event, 25 artists from across the country will use New Smyrna Beach scenery to create artistic masterpieces throughout town. Each day concludes with a gallery display and benefits art projects and environmental education and stewardship.

Of course all of the above is followed by the usual holiday revelry, including the New Smyrnaween parade and costume contest and a myriad of Christmas events such as the Annual New Smyrna Beach Tree Lighting Ceremony, parades by land and sea and a spectacular fireworks display on New Year’s Eve!
