How to check your Windows startup programs are slowing your computer!
Google Chrome, Skype and Spotify running in the background is handy, but when you turn your computer on programs like these make the computer boot time longer.
The delay to some is not a bother, others it drives them crazy. So it makes sense from time to time to go through your start up programs.
In Windows 10 you will find these programs in the Task Manager under the Startup tab. You should not disable essential programs like antivirus and hardware support software because they need to be active all the time. If you do not know what the software is it is best to leave it active.
With that said there are plenty of programs that do not need to start when Windows start; example being Office packages. You can prevent the programs you want to by right clicking on the program file and choosing “Deactivate”.
